She is an Integrated Teacher Training (ITT) certified Pilates instructor and has studied with some of the leading Pilates professionals including Madeline Black, Jean Claude West and Brent Anderson. Since 2005, Katrina has worked as the senior trainer at Fit First Pilates, voted "Best of Marin's" premier Pilates studio.
Katrina has enjoyed a yoga practice for many years, but it was Pilates that helped with the rehabilitation of an arthritic hip condition. She quickly discovered Pilates gave her increased body awareness, and with this focused attention Katrina trained her body more efficiently, allowing for pain-free movement and increased core strength. Katrina has also been active in the equestrian community for years. Her focus has been in Pleasure equitation, dressage and natural horsemanship training methods.
